The HSD35 is an optical encoder design specifically to survive the tough mill environment. It offers improved sealing and shielding, a solder-less latching field serviceable connector and is rated at up to 400G shock and 20G vibration. The HSD35 is backed by Dynapar's encoder expertise and 3 day average lead times.

Shock Resistant Sensor With Wide Air Gap

A wide gap phased array sensor increases the air gap over 10x compared to traditional mask-on sensor designs resulting in a rugged encoder that is more resistant to shock up to 400G.

Increased Durability and Encoder Life

The HSD35 offers improved seals resistant to fuel and oil contaminants, an unbreakable code disc for increased durability in high shock and vibration applications and larger mechanically captured bearings increase the encoder lifetime and resistance to run-out and wobble.

Easy to Use Latching Connector

In mill environments, solder connections can be unreliable and complicated to install. Our solution is a solder-less, field-serviceable latching connector for easy field installation and connection/disconnection.
